The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) would like to notify you of the following information.  

NOP Fact Sheets: Organic Certification
 
The NOP has published a new fact sheet to help farms and businesses determine if they need to be certified. If an operation doesn't need to be certified, this resource outlines the specific requirements that the operation must meet.

The NOP also updated its organic certification fact sheet, providing additional background information for farms and businesses considering organic certification. 
 

 

Organic Insider Archive
 
The NOP has appreciated being able to notify you directly of important updates through the Organic Insider. All previous communications dating back to 2010 is available in the Organic Insider archive. You can always access the archive from the NOP homepage (www.ams.usda.gov/nop) under "NOP Newsroom Updates." 
 
Fruit and Vegetable Webinars
 
The Agricultural Marketing Service's Fruit and Vegetable Program is offering a series of free, interactive webinars designed for fruit and vegetable growers, packers, shippers, processors, wholesales, and retailers of all sizes. Summer line-up of webinars is available below, but more will follow throughout the year. Registration is required, and space is limited. Be sure to take advantage of these offerings.
