2010 Organic Assessment of China: Report Now Availale

To carry out its commitment to ensuring organic integrity, the NOP conducted a review of certifying agents' activities in China last year. After assessing the work of four certifiers, the NOP prepared a report that discusses the country's organic industry, explains the scope of its assessment and methodology, addresses product and soil sampling results, and draws conclusions about certifier competence in China. The full report is now available online.

NOP Program Handbook Reformatted
If you have referred to the NOP Program Handbook online recently you may have noticed some changes. The majority of NOP's guidance, instruction and policy memo documents have been reformatted to facilitate consistency in section headings and their contents. This may have caused text to be moved into different sections. Any substantial alterations to the text are noted as "Revisions" or "Deletions" in the "Technical Changes" table of the Summary of Changes document.

Please note that these modifications do not include substantive changes to the content and should not be mistaken for changes to guidance, instruction, or policy.
