The Food and Drug Administration has responded to the National Organic Program's request for clarification about the FDA's policy concerning nutrient fortification of foods. The correspondence is available on the NOP website now. It addresses FDA's definition of the term "accessory nutrients" and its enforcement of 21 CFR 104.20.
