Asthma symptoms include difficulty breathing, wheezing, coughing tightness in the chest. In severe cases, asthma can be deadly.

 

According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), asthma is characterized by inflammation of the air passages resulting in the temporary narrowing of the airways that transport air from the nose and mouth to the lungs. Asthma symptoms can be caused by allergens or irritants that are inhaled into the lungs, resulting in inflamed, clogged and constricted airways.

The Comfort Suites hotel in Grantville, PA is dealing with an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease. Hotel guests may have come down with a case of the disease which has led to an investigation of the hotel.  

 

Guests who stayed at the Comfort Suites hotel in Grantville have contracted Legionnaires' disease. Recent hotels guests have been notified as an ongoing investigation takes place. It is unclear how many guests have been affected so far.  

 

The Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection are leading the investigation.

Family: Child Sick From Mold at School

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The family and doctor of a 6-year-old boy who spent three days at the hospital say mold at his elementary school may be to blame.  

 

WAVY.com obtained a mold summary report at Chesapeake's Great Bridge Primary School by McKee Environmental which confirmed mold was found within the school building. Samples were sent to a lab and were returned with much higher levels of mold...

Quebec City's large Legionnaires' disease outbreak appears to be under control, the city's public health director said Friday.  

 

Dr. Francois Desbiens said measures the city's public health department have taken to ensure cooling towers in the outbreak zone have been cleaned and disinfected appear to be bearing fruit.
