Edinburgh Legionella Outbreak Claims 100th Victim ...investigations to locate the source of the disease are on-going...

The Legionella outbreak has claimed its 100th victim, the Scottish Government revealed. Health experts said this was the first new case for a week and believe the worst of the outbreak is over.

 

Three men with Legionnaires' Disease have already died and two people remain in intensive care.

 

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: "The latest case of Legionnaires' has been ill for some time, and has now been identified as a confirmed case. "Over recent days as expected, we have not seen as many cases of Legionnaires' as we did at the peak of the outbreak, and this continues to offer reassurance that the outbreak remains under control.

 

A total of 52 people are confirmed as having the disease and 48 are suspected to have the bug.

Employees Say Mold in Local Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement Office Making Them Sick

TAMPA - They investigate and analyze some of the highest profile criminal cases in the state.

 

Now some who spend their working hours at the Florida Department Of Law Enforcement Tampa office claim the building is making them sick.

 

We learned about the problems inside FDLE's crime lab and the rest of the building from two people who have identified themselves as current employees through e-mails, photographs, and phone calls.

 

They claim that this building is not well and is making some people sick. Rick Ramirez is the Special Agent In Charge of Tampa operations.

Nursing Home Employees Claim Mold Made Them Sick ...no idea what caused it until they say they saw mold...

LOVELAND, Colo. - Employees from a nursing home have taken legal action after claiming mold at the facility made them sick.

 

A lawyer for several of the employees gave CBS4 documents from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's investigation. The lawyer says the documents prove mold has been found in the facility.

 

Tammy Stewart said she became sick just a few weeks after starting work at the Sierra Vista Health Care Center.

Legionnaires' Disease Outbreak in Stoke-on-Trent ...a rare but potentially life-threatening illness...

Seven people are being treated for Legionnaires' disease in an outbreak in Stoke-on-Trent.

 

Those affected are six men and a woman, aged between their late 40s and 75, health officials said.

 

Two men in their 70s are described as "stable" and the other patients are said to be "improving".

 

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said all seven patients were being treated at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire...
