The broadcaster's former headquarters in Toowong was abandoned in late 2006 because at least 18 women who had worked there were diagnosed with breast cancer.

The ABC repeatedly promised staff their new building at South Bank would be green and healthy, but by 2009 cost estimates for the project had soared to almost $90 million, and the ABC's budget for the building, which was then about $50 million, had been cut by $3 million.

Is Legionnaires' Disease Real?

Home / News (TransWorldNews)

Each year, between 8,000 and 18,000 people are hospitalized with Legionnaires' disease in the U.S. However, many infections are not diagnosed or reported, so this number may be higher. More illness is usually found in the summer and early fall, but it can happen any time of year.
