Air and Surface Mold Guidelines Published in Worldwide Exposure Standards for Mold and Bacteria 9th Edition

Surface samples collected on Bio-Scan400™ OEHCS Publications - WES-M&B 9th Ed.for mold evaluation in buildings and homes was recently published in the 9th Edition of the Worldwide Exposure Standards for Mold and Bacteria book published by OEHCS Publications.

 

Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab), a division of Pure Air Control Services, an AIHA accredited laboratory is a contributing author/editor in the 9th Edition book. Both surface Bio-Scan400™ and airborne bioaerosol (Fungi and Bacteria) guidelines are referenced.

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (KCRA) -- A civil lawsuit alleging long-term substandard living conditions against the owner of the Cordova Estates apartments in Rancho Cordova is seeking $10 million in damages for 97 tenants.

 

"It's horrific. It's disgusting. I can't describe it. I was without heat for three years," said tenant Jessica Munoz, the named plaintiff in the lawsuit.

Toxin Found in Chinese Milk; Found High Levels of Aflatoxin, Which is Caused ...

China has discovered excessive levels of a cancer-causing toxin in milk produced by one of the nation's leading dairy companies, the firm said, in the latest in a series of food safety alarms.

Ohio Health Department Workers Exposed to Black Mold and Radon

The State of Ohio has deemed the Fairfield County Health Department unhealthy, according to the Associated Press. Complaints to state officials from an agency staffer prompted an inspection of the building. The employee claims both the public and staff are exposed to high radon levels, rodents, black mold, bats and may have been exposed to lead. The Ohio Department of Health sent a formal request to the county agency to find funds for a new building.
 
Acting County Health Administrator Larry Hanna said there is a bit of truth to the claims of building health issues, but addressing some of the problems will be expensive...
