According to the EPA, most Americans spend up to 90% of their time indoors. No wonder people are concerned with the quality of the air we breathe when inside buildings. Pollution levels are often higher indoors than outside. The EPA estimates that the indoor levels of many pollutants are 2-5 times higher, and on occasion, 100 times higher than outdoor levels. Home / News (TransWorldNews)

SCK BHC LLC - Baby3 Banners v1-02

Before one can remove allergens and/or pollutants effectively, it is essential to understand if they exist, what they are and in what quantity. Now there's the do-it-yourself "Test Your Nest" Screen Check (TYNSC) is designed to sample the indoor air quality of your baby's bedroom identifying chemicals, formaldehyde, pollens, and molds, among others..

Indoor environmental screening of the home or work environment is important for individuals with allergies, chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, emphysema, asthma, atopic dermatitis, immune deficiencies, etc.  Good indoor air quality is difficult to detect as you cannot see it. Bad smells alone are not the only indicator of poor air quality. Interior rooms collect not only exhaled carbon dioxide and moisture from people and objects, but also numerous toxic chemicals and biological pathogens. These can enter the body via nose, mouth, skin, mucous membranes and eyes resulting in headaches, allergies, infections or other illnesses.

Taiwan Legislature OKs Indoor Air Quality Management Act
by Rachel Chan - Taiwan Today

Clearwater, The ROC Legislature passed the Indoor Air Quality Management Act Nov. 8, making Taiwan the second country after South Korea to enact such a regulation.
Shieh Yan-ru, head of the Environmental Protection Administration's Department of Air Quality Protection & Noise Control, said the act, part of President Ma Ying-jeou's environmental protection platform, is a step toward ensuring the health and well-being of the people.
"The passage of this legislation, which is an extension of earlier outdoor air quality regulations, shows that the government is determined to improve the indoor environment for the people," Shieh said.
The act, which will take effect one year after promulgation by the president, stipulates that owners, managers or employers of mass gathering spaces are responsible for maintaining indoor air quality in their venues, and that those who fail to meet standards will be given a period of improvement or face fines...
