Gulf Coast Review Ranks Pure Air Control Services in Top 500

Pure Air Control Services, an environmental consulting / laboratory and remediation firm has been ranked as one of the top 500 companies on the Gulf Coast of Florida and has been included in the Gulf Coast Business Review's annual Gulf Coast 500. The ranking places Pure Air Control Services, as the 12th largest Environmental / Architectural / Engineering firms on the list and the largest indoor air quality consulting firm on the list.

A group of 15 current and former Louisville Metro Police employees have filed a class-action lawsuit against the city and the public housing authority, arguing they were sickened by exposure to toxic levels of mold and other contaminates in a city office building.


The lawsuit, filed Monday in Jefferson Circuit Court against the public works department and the housing authority, claims there could be more than 1,000 potential plaintiffs who suffered over two decades because of gross negligence, fraudulent concealment and "repeated failure to maintain" the building...

Five Cases of Legionnaires' Disease Confirmed at Local Shredding Plant

TIOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Upon investigation into reports of workers at Upstate Shredding's Route 38 Owego, N.Y. facility contracting Legionnaires' Disease, it was confirmed on Monday that five workers were diagnosed with the disease, and that measures have been put in place to avoid future outbreaks.

 

According to Johannes Peeters, from Tioga County Environmental Health, there have been five confirmed cases of the disease since 2009.

Doctor's Office Worker Says She was Infected by Mold

CHICAGO (CBS) - A woman claims in a lawsuit that her blood became 5 Doctor's Office Worker Says She was Infected by Moldinfected with mold while she was working at a doctor's office in the Southwest Side's Garfield Ridge neighborhood.

 

Cheryl A. Connelly claims that around Jan. 12 of this year, she became aware that the environment she was working in at the Archer Family Medical Group at 6649 W. Archer Ave., was contaminated with mold, according to the suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court...
