John Gurzinski/Las Vegas Review-Journal

The tests were done only after health officials determined that six former patrons of the hotel had been diagnosed with the disease, a form of pneumonia.

And that, says a CDC official, is the proper protocol.

For many, uncertainty and a feeling of homelessness are everyday realities.

Even though it may be weeks before they can return, folks are getting ready for what will be left behind when the water is gone.
