PureSteam Before After.jpgCooling coils are heat exchangers that use tubing arranged in a series of loops and fins and their purpose is to transfer heat from one fluid to another (e.g. water to air, refrigerants to air , air to air etc.). Aluminum and copper fins are attached to the coils to increase the exposure surface and the rate of heat transfer.

Lawrence School, Closed Due to Mold, Reopens

PA-2.jpgLAWRENCE, Mass. -- Some students in Lawrence spent their Saturday in school to make up days lost due to mold.

 

Fourth and fifth graders returned to the Guilmette School Saturday, joining sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders who came back over the past week for the first time since mold was discovered in the building last fall.

More Evidence for Parkinson's Disease and Pesticide Link

A large epidemiologic study shows that individuals reporting regular exposure to pesticides had a 70 percent higher incidence of Parkinson's disease than those reporting no exposure. The study, funded by NIEHS and conducted by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health, is the first large-scale prospective study to examine the possible links between chronic pesticide exposure and Parkinson's disease.
