2 Bedbugs are Back - Testing Made Easy picNew York, NY -- There's no doubt about it: bed bugs are back! In fact, in a recent survey on the resurgence of bed bugs conducted by the National Pest Management Association in partnership with the University of Kentucky, 95 percent of U.S. based pest management companies surveyed indicated that their company has encountered a bed bug infestation in the past year. Prior to 2000, only 25 percent of respondents had encountered a bed bug infestation. Understandably, the recent rise in the bed bug population has many people concerned.

Bed Bugs Prompt Cleaning at Des Moines Hospital

An Iowa hospital working to stop the spread of a bed bug infestation was forced to limit access to care in its psychiatric unit for three days after the insects were discovered in two patients' rooms, hospital officials said.

Miami Valley Hospital Finds Bacteria in Water System

Miami Valley Hospital has discovered bacteria in its water system, according to hospital officials.
The hospital, part of Premier Health Partners, is currently working on the issue with the Ohio Department of Health, Public Health Dayton and Montgomery County and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
