Open your life by downsizing your "stuff"
Downsizing can be a big challenge for people considering a move to a retirement community like RiverWoods. If you've lived in your home for more than 10 years, you've accumulated so much that it is probably getting in the way of living the life you want. At our recent downsizing event here at RiverWoods, downsizing expert Kathy Ashton and a panel of residents gave us some very useful advice on how to start early and end happy as Kathy Ashton says.Click here to Visit our Downsizing Resource Page. From there you can view downsizing insights from Ashton and one our residents. You can also view Ashton's Top 20 Downsizing Tips and more.
One of Kathy's most helpful tips is to start with one room only. An entire house can be entirely overwhelming. If a room is too much to bare- start with a closet. If that's too much- start with a single shelf.

American Independence Caught on Camera By Resident Bob Jones

RiverWoods resident Bob Jones has the skills to navigate the most complicated digital camera, but what's more remarkable is his eye for capturing stunning moments in time.
In his recent post to the RiverWoods Blog, Jones takes us to the American Independence Festival held here in Exeter. Bob was joined by his wife Dian and a handful of other residents from the RiverWoods Community. As you'll learn in Bob's blog, we celebrate a bit differently in Exeter, and for good reason. |
