Let's connect in Kentucky, and rejuvenate our personal and professional selves. Rapid Therapeutic Response provides many professional development opportunities over four days of hands-on workshops, but it's not all about the work. Just as important, it's a chance to connect.
It's also a chance to just have fun! I'm excited about the gala dinner and dance Saturday night ...

| Three ABIHM Exams Left |
A new board in integrative medicine is currently being formed (more information about this initiative).
As President Molly Roberts, MD, writes above, ABIHM will discontinue offering its Annual Certification Exam before the new board exam is launched (projected for 2013). The new board plans to require a fellowship level of training in integrative medicine as a prerequisite qualification, but anticipates allowing active ABIHM Diplomates to sit for the new exam without completing a fellowship. If you are considering becoming a Diplomate of the ABIHM, (and AHMA STRONGLY encourages you to do so), you have three remaining opportunities:
1. May 7-18, a computer-based exam offered in over 200 test locations within the US and Canada
2. Nov. 2, at the conclusion of the Scripps/ABIHM Annual Review Course, San Diego (paper and pencil exam)
3. Jan. 28-Feb. 9, 2013 (computer-based exam)

| Your Member Benefits - Spotlight on "Find a Doctor/Provider" | |
Our online "Find a Doctor/Provider" helps the public find you!
The AHMA website, www.holisticmedicine.org, ranks #1 on Google when the public is searching for "holistic doctors." Our site also consistently attracts 12,000 to 15,000 new visitors per month. This means more visibility for AHMA and more patients who find you! Additionally, potential patients can email you directly from our "Find a Doctor/Provider Directory," and our system tracks the number of inquiries directed to you, so you'll know your membership dues are working for you. Email or call Shakirra Jones at the AHMA office (216-292-6644) to find out how to get an Enhanced Listing in our Directory. It's free for all doctor members and available for a nominal fee for other licensed practitioners.

Holistic
Medicine
Needs You
(and you need
each
other)
|
You know why you joined AHMA. You know why you practice medicine as you do. More and more, people - your patients - are looking for the integrative, holistic approach to managing their health. We learned realized (again) at last year's retreat, The Healer Within, that you, as well as each of our members, need one another to remain whole, healthy, and able to help others. AHMA doesn't have chapters in every state, however, we want to help you connect with like-minded professionals whenever and wherever possible. So please, please, help us help you. If you want to start a chapter in your area, please contact Diane Stresing; please bookmark our calendar and check it often to find helpful events and opportunities to earn CMEs. To place events on our calendar that others might benefit from, send an email to Shakirra Jones. Thanks for helping us connect you with other members!
