Executive Director's Letter
October marks another first for AHMA: the pilot of a new self-care retreat series designed for holistic medical practitioners. The Healer Within, is led by President Elect Molly Roberts, M.D., and her husband, Bruce Roberts, M.D. Through guided imagery, Shamanic Breathwork and meditation, the veteran retreat leaders will help participants through the transpersonal weekend experience to discover how to access the full potential of their inner healing and to increase their effectiveness and joy of practice, work and caring for others.

| AHMA Founding Member Passes Away | |
 Dr. Walter Stoll, one of AHMA's charter members, died on Friday, Aug. 12. He practiced for 30 years as a board certified family practitioner, was the author of several books, and hosted the website askwaltstollmd.com. He was also the initiator of the Stoll Foundation for Holistic Health. AHMA acknowledges Dr. Stoll as one who helped pave the way for the growth and acceptance of holistic medicine, and a brave advocate for the physician's right to practice it.
