The September issue is always interesting as we get our first view of our "Fall Market". As was mentioned in August, we were seeing above average activity with buyers and sellers, signaling to us that we may have a positive open to the "Fall Market", and there has been.
New properties are coming to market and the buyers are absorbing them where they perceive value. You have heard it from us before .... sellers need to be best in class. If they are not showing well that needs to be reflected in the price. Otherwise they will be doing extended market time and not moving right away!
Fairfield, Norwalk and Wilton are all seeing positive year over year sales; Weston and Westport are lagging behind but should be in line soon based on the pending sales report - homes that are under contract waiting to close. Check our Market Action Reports for details. The overall theme is positive with a good start to our area's 2nd most important season the "Fall Market".
