Greetings!
This month's sales activity is up from last month in Westport, Fairfield and Norwalk; Wilton was at the same level and Weston was down by one unit. March saw good buyer traffic which continues to follow through into this month. The Spring market is buzzing.
The lending environment remains favorable for the buyers, rates are still at historic lows and the number of sales have increased. In addition to indicating an improved market, it gives the appraisers a better opportunity to represent fair value.
We continue to see in some price categories very lean inventories. Buyers are hoping to see new inventory in the next couple of weeks. Please see our Market Action Reports for more details about market activity.
A good way to get a sense of the market is to visit one of the Coldwell Banker open houses, there are 30 in our towns the next two weeks, for homes ranging from $549,000 to $2,290,000.
