Greetings!
Well for the first time in approximately 36 months we are feeling a good burst of activity in the pre-season market, our Spring market typically starts just after Super Bowl Sunday, the first week of February but this year we are feeling the buzz.
Buyers are sitting on the edge of their seats awaiting the new inventory. As a result of positive sell through in several price categories we find ourselves in need of new inventory.
Open houses are starting to pick up, there are 23 this Sunday in our towns, for homes ranging from $349,900 to $3,795,000.
Also weather has continued to be accommodating to a good start for the year allowing buyers to get an early jump on those properties coming out in the pre-season. Not a bad strategy as well!
So, all this and very accommodating mortgage rates, they reached a new low this past week, set the stage for a positive start for 2012 buyers and sellers. Here's to a great year!
