Hope you are having a good summer!
We've been taking some time off enjoying ourselves with our friends and family but have also been busy. The activity on the street is very steady, not the summer doldrums we would be used to at this time of year. The general consensus among our peers is that going forward into the fall market we will maintain a steady flow of both buyers and sellers.
As for the numbers, year to date sales are lagging last year's activity in our 5 towns with the exception of Westport where unit sales are 2.4% ahead. Looking at the Pending activity, properties under contract, we expect to see another pull back in the data. As always, you can see the details in our three page Market Action Report for each town.
Our advice is .... To buyers, stay tuned as properties are popping up randomly ... To Sellers, continue to show your best and be priced so that you are the "shiny penny" in the group.
We currently have three great homes we are representing, ranging from $399,000 to $869,000, in Fairfield, Norwalk and Westport, all with open houses this Sunday from 1 to 3.
