Greetings!
May flowers have sprung along with the Spring market. The data is confirming the action on the street, the activity we are seeing today is more typical of the month of April. As we had mentioned in our last edition, the market has lagged as a result of the harsh winter.
April inventories are at their lowest levels compared to last year with the exception of Weston which is up slightly .... generally good news for sellers. However, we are finding inventory gaps in some price categories making it hard for buyers who are moving up.
Buyers are continuing to respond to the properties requiring the least to do as far as improvements or projects are concerned ..... potential sellers take note. Lending a hand to the buying process, mortgage rates remain at some of the best levels in 2011.
If you are out and about this weekend, we are hosting two Open Houses. In Westport, it's a "Classic Colonial" at 26 Hogan Trail, the other is "Comfortable Sophistication" at 2 Four Winds Drive in Wilton. Stop by and say hello.
As always we are here for you to answer any questions or concerns, or to do a no cost market evaluation of your home, please do not hesitate to reach out.
