 Endeavour is Launching on Leap Day
Wednesday, February 29 we will be bringing back DR11, now named Endeavour Double IPA (or IPA2 as we labeled it - yes, we understand they are not the same - artistic license). This is our super hoppy yet oddly balanced double IPA with lots of citrus and subtle peach notes. We went out to Yakima last fall as the hops were being harvested to select the hops with the best aromatics. It shows.
The beer's name, first suggested by a NASA astronaut, was selected by you who voted to name it after the space shuttle Endeavour, which in turn was named after Captain James Cook's ship that explored the Pacific. Captain Cook's ship was a bark, similar to ELISSA, Texas' tall ship moored in Galveston and the namesake of Saint Arnold Elissa IPA.

Saint Arnold on Tour to Celebrate the Endeavour Launch
We're not just having a rollout, we're going on the road! And when you go on the road, you need a poster. So we had Carlos Hernandez hand print 100 of these cool 11"x17" posters for our week of events. We have a small number here at the brewery and will have some at events. Price is $5 per poster. We'll be doing these collectors' posters a few times each year for special events.

Saint Arnold / Saint Patrick Party Together on Saturday, March 17
 Our annual St. Patrick's Day party is rapidly approaching. We have our bourbon barrels full of imperial stout aging and getting ready to be casked for the event. And our special St. Patrick's Day pint glasses are waiting to be filled with wonderful elixir. You can bring your own favorite Irish stew.
Don't forget the spectacle of our Donegal Beard competition! You can come see how the contestants, clean shaven at the beginning of the year, look with their new, stylish whiskers!
Admission which includes a commemorative pint glass will be $23. Attendance is limited. This event sells out quickly every year. Here are the specifics:

Saint Arnold on Tour: New Orleans Super Weekend!
May 18 to 20, 2012
We have had beer in the state of Louisiana for just over a year now and we've decided it's high time to show the city of New Orleans how to really party (because they obviously need help with this). We're introducing a getaway weekend with a series of events that we hope you will be interested in. There will be a beer dinner, a tap takeover, a pub crawl and a beer brunch. We will announce the specific details of each event as the weekend gets closer, but if you would like to go ahead and reserve a hotel, we have a rate of $129 at the Convention Center Marriott.
