Saint Arnold Army Newsletter
Dear Saint Arnold's Army:

If you need Christmas Ale on Christmas day, you better get it now!  Our distributor ran out of it on Friday, so whatever is in the stores is all that is left.  This means...

Winter Stout is here!Winter Stout

Winter Stout will be hitting the shelves starting today!  This is our stouty goodness winter seasonal that came out of the winning entry to the inaugural Big Batch Brew Bash in 1996. It is a nice, roasty, chocolatey stout, but not super heavy either. There is a shortage of one of the key malts for this recipe - Special B - but we found an excellent substitute, so this year's Winter Stout has Special B and Crystal Dark 70-80 as opposed to the usual total amount of Special B.  Having said that, we are excited with the result.  We usually never change our seasonals' recipes, but we wanted to let you know that we did this time.

Donegal Beard Growing Competition Grow a Donegal - Win an iPad

Start strategizing your facial hair growth plan since we will again be holding our Donegal Beard Growing Competition.

To compete, you must check in with us, clean-shaven, on a tour between Saturday, December 31 and Saturday, January 7 so we can take your picture.  Another option is to send us a picture of yourself on or after January 1 with the day's newspaper (kidnapper style) if you can't get here.  Photoshopping the newspaper into an older picture will result in very bad karma.  Clean-shaven means no facial hair.  Sideburns must be cut at least halfway up the ear.

Judging will occur at our St. Patrick's Day Party. The winner will be awarded an iPad.  Previous winners are ineligible to win for 2 years.  We plan on seeking qualified, independent judges for the finale.

If you are emailing a photo, please send it to [email protected]

We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Happy New Year!  We appreciate your continued support.  Hope to see you in 2012!  (or earlier - we are holding all of our regularly scheduled tours during the holidays this year).
Santo Claus
Cheers!
