Dear Saint Arnold's Army: Farmer Brown's Ale will be released next week now We have been eagerly awaiting the kegging of Farmer Brown's Ale, the next in our Moveable Yeast series. It was supposed to be kegged last week and released this week. The beer did not want to cooperate and we did not want to rush the beer. Beer always tells you when it is ready. In this case we were waiting for the yeast to drop out. But now it is ready! Farmer Brown's Ale is our regular Brown Ale fermented with saison yeast. The result is a beer with pleasantly spicy and earthy notes, nice fruitiness, a dry finish but with a nice malt flavor to stand up to all of the yeast notes. We thought it was such an interesting beer when we test brewed it that we moved it up in the order of Moveable Yeast releases. It will start showing up on draft in accounts next week, although some accounts will wait considerably longer before tapping their kegs. It will also be available on our weekday tours at the brewery starting this coming Monday. Saint Arnold Night at the Aeros on Friday, March 11 He shoots! He scores! Everybody toasts with a Saint Arnold! It's Saint Arnold Night at the Aeros 2011. This is a great event that includes a pre-party at Discovery Green followed by an Aeros game across the street at the Toyota Center. Here are the details: Saint Arnold Night at the Aeros Date: Friday, March 11 Pre-Party: at Discovery Green (your name will be on the check in list) Time: 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Aeros vs the Manitoba Moose at the Toyota Center Puck Drop: 7:30 PM Price: $25 per person (plus a $2.50 or $3 handling fee per order depending on if you want your tickets via email or at will call) Also, you can include parking at the Toyota Center for an additional $5. As you probably know, we have three cars that we have done with a tie dye motif. We are getting a Mini Cooper Countryman that we want to decorate and we want to hear your ideas. Here are the parameters: We will judge the design based on: Basic aesthetic appeal How it fits with and promotes Saint Arnold Brewing Company Practicality (the car is going to be on the road daily and we need to be able to wash it). Deadline for design submittal: March 23, 2011 We have the right to use any artwork submitted to us. Winner gets $1,000 plus invited to help with the painting/decorating of the car and a ride in the Art Car Parade.
