Not watching the game: Make yourself a tasty Root Beer float. Winter Stout Afternoon Pub Crawl in the Heights Saturday, February 12 We will utilize our "open house" schedule for the first 4 stops. This means that we will be signing tickets at all of the first four stops for three hours so you can enjoy a beer at each one with only a quarter of the people crammed into each establishment. You will get your ticket at whichever stop you decide to visit first. But, VERY IMPORTANT, we will only be handing out the tickets between 1 PM and 2 PM. Thus, you still need to start between 1 and 2. Then, at 4 PM, everybody will gather at one final stop and that is where we will award the prize. The prize for making all five stops will be our pint glass coozie - perfect for keeping your hands warm in the winter and your beer cold in the summer. And as always, designated drivers are both eligible for the award and encouraged to attend! So here is the layout and our vague directions: The first four stops: Three will be located at the intersection of White Oak and Studewood. The stops will be on the Northwest, Southwest and Southeast corners. The fourth will be just west of the intersection on White Oak (this is a cash only stop). The final stop: At 4:00 we'll head west about 0.2 miles down White Oak for the final stop. Remember that cash is helpful, be kind to your waitstaff, and always, always appear in public enjoying a Saint Arnold. This change in the law would go a long way toward creating a healthier environment in Texas for craft breweries and help us compete fairly with out-of-state craft breweries that have the same rights in their home states. We need your help. Please tell your legislators that you support this, and that you would like to be able to get a six pack of beer at the end of a Saint Arnold tour just like many of you have when you have visited breweries in other states. Supporting this bill will only take you 5 minutes. Here is what you need to do: If you don't know who your state representative is, then go to: http://www.legis.state.tx.us/Home.aspx You can then click on the name of your state representative (not the state senator - that will come later). This should send you to their home page where you can usually click on a link named "send email" or "email", or sometimes there is a form right there for sending them an email. Write a brief email stating your support for HB 602 and that this is an important issue to you. After you do this, you will get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. That is the little bit of love we just felt toward you. We are optimistic about our chances of getting this bill through this session, but it will take a lot of work on our part and a little help from you.
