Dear St. Arnold's Army:
It's scavenger hunt time again! This time, all the clues lead to Midtown. Everybody who successfully completes the scavenger hunt will get an invitation to attend a special party at the brewery where we will have a drawing for the one grand prize: an iPad!
Here is how it works:
Watch the video that we have posted on Youtube. The video will show specific objects with which you need to take a picture of yourself (i.e., have both you and the object in the same photo). All of the objects are in establishments where you can find good beer, and enjoying a Saint Arnold while on your quest may bring you enlightenment! If any of the hints seem obscure to you, remember googling is allowed. Once you have found all of the objects and taken the required photos, you may either upload the photos to any of a number of photo-sharing websites (flickr, shutterfly, etc.) and send the link to lennie@saintarnold.com or print the photos and get them to us at the brewery. The deadline for us to receive the photos is Sunday, July 25 at 11:59 PM. (If you are trying to drop off photos at the brewery over the weekend, there is a little mail slot on the Lyons side.) Make sure you include your name, email address and phone number. Only one person per photo so if a group of you are doing it, you each need to take individual pictures of yourselves with the objects.
All correct and complete entries that we receive will be sent an invitation for that person to attend a party here at the brewery. At that party, we will draw a name and award that person the iPad!

School Supply Drive for Needy Families on Wednesday, July 28
In conjunction with State Representative Jessica Farrar, we will be hosting a school supply drive at the brewery on Wednesday, July 28. For many families, the basics like a backpack and pencils are difficult to afford. What better way to help kids in these families get a great start to the school year than for us to come together and donate these items to them. And we will bribe, er, entice you to do so with a fun evening at the brewery.
Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday, July 28
Taps open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (remember you can bring snacks, dinner, heck, a white table cloth and 5 course meal if you like)
Admission: Bring one new or gently used children's backpack
AND
at least one of the following items:
8 pack of markers
24 pack of crayons
Large pack of pencils
Large package of spiral notebooks
You can go to Academy or Amazon.com and get a backpack for around $20 to $25. There are some available for as little as $15.

Summer Pils is going fast!
We just bottled the last batch of Summer Pils this week. It will probably last for another week or so in the market. Then start looking for Oktoberfest! Yes, we know it's only July. But isn't August the beginning of fall?
Thanks for all of your support! Sales of our beers were up 26% for the 1st half of 2010. And we finally have our brewhouse dialed in exactly the way we want it. That only took us four months. So the slightly darker versions of our beers are back to normal. We hope you enjoyed our inadvertent variations! We'll try not to do that again.
