Great Designs...Great Locations...Great Value!

Dear Friends,

The recent sighting of a snowy owl perched on the roof of Simone Vajda's home in Harlow Farms, a Sunrise Builders conservation community, makes you realize the delicate balance between nature and where we live.   Everyone in the area, even those who do not live in this neighborhood community, somehow felt connected to the sighting.  So much so, that TV6 thought it newsworthy enough to talk about it during the evening news.  For over 35 years, Sunrise Builders has been committed to conserving and preserving the beautiful northern forestlands surrounding our homes.   This commitment started way before "green building,"  "conservation subdivisions," and "sustainable development" became popular buzz words.  It is because of this vision why Sunrise Builders works with Environmental Land Planners and Engineers to create the best balance of preserving the natural environment while building desirable neighborhoods.  Without this vision of creating a balanced eco system, we truly have no concept of what would be lost...wild life in natural settings, native plants, a tranquil walk along the trail system, our connection with nature.  These are just a few of the "priceless" amenities that come with living in this natural community.

Roxanne Burns talks about this conservation community and why it brought her to the Marquette area.

Nothing to Fear

Do you know what most often hinders the success of a new-home project? Fear - Fear of the unknown, of unscrupulous contractors, shoddy materials, of somehow getting caught in a money pit and ending up holding the bag.

This high-level of concern is understandable. Often our clients' home is their largest single investment. For some, this is their first experience building a home. And for all there is a lot to learn about new home construction.

As professional builders, we understand and respect our clients' concerns. Our job, at Sunrise Builders, is to demystify the building process. We have developed our own unique design/build process that is designed specifically to provide our clients with a fun, enjoyable experience, giving the most in value and choices without compromising quality. Our dedicated staff manages your overall experience from the initial meeting, through the site selection, home design, construction, completion and warranty process in a manner that will exceed your expectations.

House Plants Health Benefits

Just about everyone knows that house plants are great for producing oxygen and contributing to a zen feeling in any environment.  But did you know that they can clinically reduce stress, fight colds, remove contaminants, and even stop headaches?  Read on to find out about the great health benefits associated with house plants.

Plants can help fight colds: Indoor plants have been shown to reduce cold-related illnesses by more than 30%. This is due to their effect of increasing humidity levels and decreasing dust.

Plants can remove airborne contaminants: We breathe the same air again and again, potentially inhaling harmful substances that are trapped inside. Indoor plants can help to remove pollutants including VOCs that cause headaches, nausea, and more.

Plants can stop your headaches: Filling your home with plants can decrease or eliminate headaches. With plants, you're much less likely to be breathing the kind of stuffy, stale air that contributes to headaches.
