August Lunch Exchange to showcase plans for downtown Bushnell
 Join us for a discussion of exciting new developments in Bushnell at the Chamber Lunch Exchange Wednesday, August 10, 11:30am, at the NASCAR RV Resorts at Blueberry Hill, 6233 County Road 609 in Bushnell.
City Manager Vince Ruano has been invited to review the plans for its $4 million Bike/ Pedestrian & Multi-Modal Transportation Enhancement Project. The project includes construction of a town square park that includes a 35-foot gazebo and decorative fountain across from City Hall. It is funded by the state Department of Transportation.
Mayor Bill Spaude will also talk about the upcoming Bushnell Fall Festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 15. And representatives from Dade Battlefield Memorial State Park the Dade Battlefield Society will talk about local history and upcoming events. The cost to attend is $10 for members and $15 for non members and RSVP is required. Email sumter-coc@sumterchamber.org or call 352-793-3099 to reserve your seat. Deaf and Hearing Services of Lake & Sumter Counties is offering an ASL Level I sign language course. Deaf and Hearing Services of Lake & Sumter Counties is holding an ASL level I course which covers basic sign language and introduction to the deaf culture. The classes will be held at 220 S 9th St, Leesburg and begin on Tuesday, August 23, and continue for 6 weeks every Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
