Let's Set a Record!

Sumter County government's economic development agency has issued a friendly challenge to businesses to set an attendance record at the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce's April Lunch Exchange. Rick Dodge, president of e5 solutions, issued the challenge to more than 90 business leaders at the chamber's March 2 Lunch Exchange, promising that if more than 100 attend the April event, e5 solutions will contribute $300 to the chamber.

 I-75 Widening Meeting Set
The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting about plans to widen I-75 from four lanes to six from the Hernando/Sumter county line to south of Florida's Turnpike. The project also includes improvements to the interchanges at CR 476B, State Road 48, and CR 470. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, at the Lake Panasoffkee Recreation Park, East Wing Meeting Room, 1589 CR 459, Lake Panasoffkee. It runs from 5 to 7pm, with brief presentations at 5:30 and 6:30pm. You can view plans for the proposed improvements and speak with FDOT representatives. Read More Here.

City of Wildwood to have a City Logo Design

Competition - DEADLINE IS

As the City of Wildwood continues to grow and change, the City Commission believes that a new logo is necessary to better represent our community. The Mayor and Commission are inviting the community to enter into this competition to create and design a logo that would truly represent the City of Wildwood. The logo will become the symbol of our community throughout the City on official documents, on marquees, vehicles, etc. The City is requesting your talents to design our new logo. The Alzheimer's Family Organization is having a Support Group Leader Orientation/In-Service on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Spring Oaks, 7251 Grove Rd., Brooksville - Hernando County from 9:30am - 12:30pm.
