Lake-Sumter Community College and Florida Hospital Waterman will present their informative People's Medical School titled "Is Your Heart Worth the Trouble?" The six-part series meets consecutive Thursdays, February 10 through March 24 (except for March 10), in the Leesburg Campus Health Sciences Center.
Two one-hour seminars are presented each week by physicians and medical professionals. With the cost of only $26, attendees can pick and choose their topics or attend the whole series. Nurses attending the full twelve hours will be awarded 12 contact hours. The United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties is offering free workshops to learn money savings tips. Representatives from Wachovia Bank, N.A. will discuss budgeting, debt reduction and the benefits of credit improvement. Workshops are held monthly at the Goodwill Job Center in Leesburg.
