We can now announce that the dates for the Freedom Drive and General Assembly are : 
  • 14th September Freedom Drive
  • 15th September General Assembly

Both events will take place in Strasbourg so book your accommodation and tickets early to be there!

Assistive Technology and the beginings of a fulfilled life 

AssistiveICT imageSome of us may think that accessing a computer is easy, or writting an email to a friend however for some it can be a difficult or sometimes impossible task that can not be done without the use of ICTs or Assistive Technology.

But what is Assistive Techonology and what a difference can it make to a life? 

To learn about this technology and about a young boy whose life was changed by it read our article.

 

And if you live in Spain please do not hesitate to join the ENIL Conference on ICTs and Assistive Technology which will take place 24th March.  It promises to be a very engaging day with some fantastic speakers where you can learn more about the possibiilites of how such technology can improve your life.

World Assembly Programme
CIVICUSIn ENIL we know that together we can make a change and we are always looking for new ways to spread Independent Living all over the world and we think the CIVICUS World Assembly is one of them.
"Civil Society and Global Decision-Making: Doing Better"  is the theme for this years Assembly which will take place in September in Montreal.
You are welcome to submit an activity proposal until 11th of April 2011 included.
