Season of Celebration Begins
| 2nd Annual Tree Lighting in Riverfront Park Friday, November 25 5:30pm Riverfront Park
Mayor Pro Tem Earl Sheridan will countdown and light up the holiday tree. The Battleship North Carolina will light up the ship in synchronization with the holiday tree. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Roger Davis jazz group. Riverfront Park arts and crafts vendors will set up a special market as members from Thalian Association stroll the streets gleefully singing carols and spreading holiday cheer throughout the evening. Santa and Mrs. Clause will arrive via hourse drawn carriage, so bring your cameras!
Santa Claus at the Cotton Exchange
Santa Claus arrives at the Cotton Exchange Friday, November 25 at 12:00pm at the Front Street Gates by special envoy and will proceed to Santa's Station and stay until 4:00pm. Santa will be at the Cotton Exchange every Saturday from November 26 through December 17 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm, and Sundays (November 27 - December 18) from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, at his South Pole Station. Feel free to bring your camera to capture family moments!
