Sponsored by the Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW) An opportunity to hear Wilmington's mayoral and city council candidates discuss issues they see as most important to the community. "Meet and greet" session begins at 6:00pm, followed by the candidates' presentations at 6:30pm. Incumbent Mayor Bill Saffo and challenger Justin La Nasa City council candidates: Neil Anderson, Napier Fuller, Joshua Fulton, Margaret E. Haynes, Matthew G. 'Matt' Hinson, Frank Christopher Meares, Ricky Meeks, and incumbents Laura Padgett and Ronald Sparks Jon Evans from WECT News will serve as moderator. The Fuzzy Peach Announces Free Froyo Fridays
|
The Fuzzy Peach is now offering Free Froyo Friday at their downtown Wilmington location. Every week the frozen yogurt bar will select a random downtown business and offer their employees free frozen yogurt up to a 5 dollar value. This Friday, September 16, will be the first free froyo event, starting with PPD. All day, PPD employees can receive free frozen yogurt up to 5 dollars at the downtown location by simply showing their staff badges.

Downtown Sundown Raises $8,500 for Local Charities

$8,500 has been raised for local charities and non-profit organizations through the 2011 Downtown Sundown Concert Series!
