Downtown Sundown
| Friday, September 2 & Saturday, September 10 6:00pm - 10:00pm Riverfront Park
$7,725 has been raised for local charities and non-profit organizations thus far through the Downtown Sundown Concert Series! Tuesday's Gone, Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute, will headline the show at the Downtown Sundown Concert Series this Friday, September 2. Opening act Medusa Stone will begin at 6:00pm in Riverfront Park, followed by Tuesday's Gone at 8:00pm. Half of the proceeds raised from wristband sales will benefit the Cape Fear Literacy Council (CFLC). Click here to read more.

Great Gatsby Gala
| Thursday, September 1 7:00pm - 10:00pm City Club at De Rosset
Style Girl Jess James, The City Club and Land Rover present Wilmington's first Great Gatsby Gala inspired by the Great American Novel, forthcoming remake of the film and the joie de vivre of the Jazz Age glamourized by Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. This style-conscious event (transformed by Salt Harbor Designs) will include delicious food, live music by Benny Hill jazz trio and chanteuse Susan Savia, 1920's inspired shopping with A Second Time Around, Cape Fear Jewelry and Ziabird. Exclusive giveaways, 1920s-inspired models, "best dressed" contest and Roaring Twenties reverie. The City Club will be offering an exclusive discount (over 80% off!) for membership sign-up for the night of the event only, as well as the "code word" into the Gatsby speakeasy.
