Special Chequamegon Fat Tire Fest Hours September 14-16, 2012 Good luck to everyone racing the 30th annual Chequamegon Fat Tire Fest! Both courses are marked and in extremely fast condition thanks to some recently graded trails and logging roads. New Moon will be open 9am-7pm Friday, 9/14 and will open early at 8am Saturday, 9/15 race day for your last minute race needs. For Sunday Funday, we'll be open 10am to 4pm. Follow Chequamegon preparations on their blog, and be sure to review the 2012 agenda for the weekend schedule and any format changes for 2012. While here, be sure to check our great end-of-season sales on summer cycling and casual clothing. In addition, our Specialized Epic 29er demo bikes are on sale at $1100 off regular price and are available for pick-up beginning Sunday after the Chequamegon. Here are a few details:

On the clothing side, Skhoop Ski Skirts make their debut at the shop this fall. Who says you can't have high fashion and technical functionality in one package? Skhoop is a secret fave of discerning women skiers for several years now. We're also happy to offer Salomon Nordic Apparel this season for both men and women . While Salomon is best known for their podium-dominating Nordic ski boots, they also produce remarkable technical Nordic ski apparel.

On the equipment side, Swix brings their glue-less TBS interchangeable basket technology to the Star and Team models. Originally only available on the awesome Triac model, this system allows fast and easy customization of your favorite race poles. Several on-snow basket styles and sizes are available, as well as rollerski ferrules. The immensely popular and successful Fischer Carbonlite Skate Boots get lighter this season but keep the super-comfy fit that we love. In addition, the much-anticipated new Fischer Women's Carbonlite Skate Boots are here with revised fit specifically for the woman athlete. We're also bringing in the companion Fischer Carbonlite Classic Boots, adding to New Moon's extensive fleet of Nordic performance ski boots.
