Berry Best Farm Friends,
What happens when you have warm weather and an early start to the picking season? You also have an early finish. We have decided to end our 2012 picking season this Sunday, August 19. Sunday will be our annual "Picking for the Food Pantries" day, which we usually have on Labor Day. There are just not enough blueberries to remain open until then, so we hope you can join us this Sunday instead.
Free Blueberries This Sunday: On Sunday's Fifth Annual "Picking for the Food Pantries" day everyone is invited to pick blueberries for free. Keep half of what you pick for yourself and the other half we will deliver as a donation to the local food pantry.
Last Week for Peaches: This is the last week we will have for picking peaches. Nearly all of our peaches are ripe now. You may want to give us a call at the farm before heading out as picking conditions can change from day to day. Phone 207-457-1435. Other Farm News:
New in the Store: hand turned bowls and platters from the woodshop
Thanks to everyone who visited us for our Open Farm Day on July 22. We had a great turnout and everyone had fun on the wagon rides around the farm, playing games, etc.
