Dear Berry Best Farm Customers,

Greetings and Happy Summer!

It's hard to believe, but it's almost time for the farm to open for our 2011 season. We wanted to let you know that we have set an official opening day for blueberry picking: Friday, July 15. The raspberries have a short picking season that should start around July 5. Call us at 207-457-1435. Scroll down to learn more about all of the fruit on the farm.

Toby
A New Face on the Farm!
The next time you're here you may see our new little guy "Toby." He is an Australian Shepherd mix that we recently adopted from the local animal shelter. He is currently attending puppy school and spends lots of time hanging out with Rufus who is giving him tips on being a great farm dog.

Update: Fruit on the Farm

Blueberries

As you can see in this photo, we have lots of blueberries that will be ready to pick starting Friday, July 15. We have 3,000 blueberry bushes and 11 varieties that all ripen at different times. This provides us with a very long picking season.

Raspberries

Our Killarney variety of raspberries that we planted two years ago should be ready to pick by early- to mid-July. The old bed of Latham is still producing too. They should be ripe around July 5. Call for exact dates. 207-457-1435

 

Peaches

We anticipate having a great peach crop this year. We have over 100 trees that are all  loaded with fruit. The peaches are usually ripe mid-August.
