News from the farm

| | Chris & John Bozak |
Holiday greetings to all of our farm friends! It's been a while since our last newsletter and we thought we would bring you up to date with what is happening on the farm.
We took a nice vacation this fall with our group of Maine farmers. We toured Maine up through Quebec City, then over to Vermont through New Hampshire and back home visiting several dairy farms, a goat farm, Cabot cheese, an elk and a bison farm, several greenhouse operations and a maple syrup operation.

Take a Walk in the Woods Next summer when you come to the farm, take a walk in through the woods. We have spent several weeks cutting trees, removing rocks and stumps, and filling holes. All to make our forest road wider and more accessible. We plan to use it this winter as our X-country ski trail. Signs of Winter The horses, Buddy and Jack, have acquired a thick coat of hair, the bees are all snuggled in their hive, and the woodshed is full. John is settled in next to the stove with a huge stack of books while Chris is busy knitting socks and mittens and is only thinking about making jams for next summer.
Holiday Gift Ideas From the Farm Store
| Handmade "Cloud 9 Angel" Ornaments | If you are looking for some unique gift ideas for this holiday season, we are offering a few items this year for gift giving--Chris's hand made angel ornaments and Blue Ribbon-winning homemade jams. Also, we have gift certificates that can be redeemed for jam, honey, other farm products or for pick-your-own fruit next summer. (For example: a $25 gift certificate would purchase 10 lbs. of Blueberries and three jars of jam.)
Chris makes the "Cloud 9 Angel" ornaments shown above from soft wool roving. They make a great "Made in Maine" gift and are adorable ornaments for your tree. Each angel is handcrafted with a wool braid and a delicate golden halo. They are about 3" inches tall and are packaged in a small clear plastic box with a gold elastic bow.
$12.50 each, includes shipping.
