Dear Goochland Farmers Market Customers,I hope you all are faring well this winter. I must admit, I am really missing warm weather and spending time at the market every Saturday. Time and time again, I am told how much people enjoy visiting the market...what great people are involved and how delicious all of the fresh, local food is. If you are missing the market, there is still time to join our Winter Season Co-op. We still have three months to go before the market re-opens. Please read on to hear about some exciting things we have going on with the co-op. As with all of our correspondence, you have the option to forward our e-mails to a friend at the bottom left of the e-mail. I encourage you to share this with someone you think would be interested in our co-op. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturdays again and hope to see some of you at our Information Session for potential co-op customers on February 6! Please read on for more information.Take care,Jane ConnerMarket ManagerP.s. Here is an interesting article from MIT News suggesting that building regional foodsheds could reverse the obesity epidemic and save on health care.

What Our Customers Are Saying....

"Not only am I more than happy with the the products I've bought, I much
prefer supporting local growers to supporting the industrial food system." D'Ann
"I have been very happy
with my co-op experience so far. I refuse to eat
factory-farmed meats, so when I dine out or at friends' homes, I'm essentially
a vegetarian. I LOVE that I now have easy access to such a wide range of beef,
pork and poultry products that are raised ethically and sustainably by local
farmers. (My family loves that, too!) We're eating wonderful
food AND I feel great about where my money's going, so it's a win-win." Tara
