"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." ~Albert Einstein
Hope you're having a miraculous day!
_________________________________ Greetings! **Please read the special announcement at the bottom of this message regarding future issues of this Miraculous Life Bulletin and the new Miraculous Life Academy membership program. The 3 A's of Awesome! For the second consecutive week I'm going to reference TED talk. If you're not familiar with TED, here's a brief description from its website:
TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Oxford UK each summer -- TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and Open TV Project, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.
The annual TED conferences, in Long Beach/Palm Springs and Oxford, bring together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).
I love the word "Awesome". It's one of my favorite words. So when my friend, John Hoskins, forwarded me the link to this talk entitled The 3 A's of Awesome, he got my attention.
Neil Pasricha is the name of the presenter. He gives a talk here that's just... well... awesome. I encourage you to watch it when you have 18 minutes to submerge yourself into a deep state of appreciation for the miraculousness of this highly improbable event we are involved in right now - the one we call "life".
After a couple tragic events in his life, this guy, Neil Pasricha, started a blog that he entitled 1000 Awesome Things. In that blog he writes about activating the inner 3 year old in each of us. And he talks about the value of operating from that pre-conditioned state of perpetual awe. He won the Best Blog award. Then he was offered a literary contract. He wrote a book entitled The Book of Awesome. I LOVE that title! The book has been on the best sellers list for 30+ weeks.
Here's the video of his talk... (click the image to view)

Attitude, Awareness and Authenticity. Attitude. One of my favorite definitions of enlightenment is, choosing peace amidst chaos. Operative word: choosing. Awareness. When we are present enough to pay attention, we see the infinite beauty that always surrounds us. Authenticity. We don't have to work so hard at hiding our truths. We're actually perfect. When we're capable of expressing ourselves precisely as we are, we express only love. Thanks, Neil, for your talk. It was awesome. |
