IMAGINE PERFECTION!
Let's talk about imagery for a minute.
Hands down, one of our most powerful tools. And we all have it. Born with it. The ability to experience the future in advance. In the mind's eye.
(Incidentally, I did a little research into why our boy here, Siddhartha, is sportin' the headphones in this image. Turns out he loves to practice his imagery while jamming out to this...)
(click here to hear Buddah's Imagery jam!)
The images we create in our minds' eyes, whether intentionally or not, are always instantly transforming into instructions. The images instruct our minds to do whatever it takes to make those images real. This is where we emulate God, see. We create reality.
The hitch, though, is that this imagery stuff is non-discriminatory. It doesn't care if the content is dark and horrific or if the content is light and magical. Either way, it's going to become reality. In some form.
In an experiment, asthmatic patients breathed in a vapor that researchers told them was a chemical irritant or allergen. Nearly half of the patients experienced breathing problems, with a dozen developing full-blown attacks. They were "treated" with a substance they believed to be a bronchodilating medicine, and recovered immediately. In actuality, both the "irritant" and the "medicine" were a nebulized saltwater solution.
When the subjects believed they were inhaling an irritant, they unconsciously started imagining having trouble breathing. When they believed they were inhaling a healing treatment, they started imagining breathing freely again. And in both cases, whatever they imagined - happened.
Our beliefs become images, and these images become reality. So part of the game we get to play is to practice strengthening the content of the images in our minds.
We cannot underestimate the power of the mechanics of our thoughts and mental images.
The outer world is a reflection of the inner world.
So...
