Message to Families from Superintendent Sicoli

Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!  We are so excited to see familiar faces and meet new students.  I wanted to take a moment to thank families, students and staff for their patience and resourcefulness with the construction at Northport, Lakeview and New Hope; the moves to different buildings; and the new bus routes that helped us devote more resources to the classroom.  It's great to see the improvements in our buildings, to have our staff and students back in Sandburg, and to see the implementation of new programs in schools.  The first week was not without bumps in the road, but district and building staff continue to work together to help alleviate issues.   When we all work together, we provide a great example of cooperation and collaboration for our children, which will help them succeed in school and beyond.
