AHS Concert Choir Benefit 


Enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Robbinsdale Armstrong Concert Choir at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5005 Northwest Blvd., Plymouth, on Friday, April 13.  Doors open at 6:15, concert begins at 7:15.  This is the choir's largest scholarship fundraiser of the year.  Tickets at the door - $12 adults; $6 students and seniors. Stay for refreshments and raffle with prizes.

Over the last several months we have been working diligently to make Rdale.org more user friendly.  Most of the updates and changes took place during spring break - we will continue to update Academic Services and Departments Tabs.

2012 PI Floor Hockey ChampsThe Robins Fly Again!

The Robins Adapted PI Floor Hockey team capped an unbeaten regular season by taking home a third state championship in four years, earning a 7-2 victory over the Dakota United Hawks in a game which was much closer than the scoreboard at Bloomington Jefferson High School indicated.  Teammates Charlie Wittmer, Joe Dubisar and Mike Madson were each named to the Wells Fargo All-Tournament Team, but everyone on the team worked together and made important contributions to team victories all season.

RFT Accepting Nominations for EA of the Year


The Robbinsdale Federation of Teachers (RFT) is seeking nominations for the local Education Assistant of the Year.  This is the second year that the RFT is recognizing the phenomenal work that educational assistants do each day.

Nominations will be accepted through April 23, 2012, and anyone can nominate - teachers, students, parents, and community members. Self-nominations are also accepted.  The nomination form can be found online by clicking here.

Ert Jones-Hermerding to Enter Cooper Hall of Fame

Ert Jones-Hermerding, longtime theater director and football coach, will be inducted into the Robbinsdale Cooper High School Hall of Fame during a commemoration and scholarship event in his name on April 21, 2012 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Robbinsdale Cooper High School auditorium.

Congratulations to Armstrong senior Veronica DeSalvo (left) and Cooper senior Kaelyn Williams (right) on their wonderful accomplishments.  These two deserving young women have made much of their academic and athletic opportunities, and have been named the 2012 Athena Award Winners for our district.

Spelling Bee Winners Prove Their MettleSpelling bee

 

Congratulations to the 158 students from every elementary school who participated in this year's Spelling Bee.  Winners and runners-up represented seven elementary schools:  Second grade, Jason Wright (Forest), 1st place, and Noah Peterson (Forest), runner-up; Third grade:  Hunter Mettler (Northport), 1st place, and Siddhant Dubey (Zachary Lane), runner-up; Fourth grade:  Gunnar Laughlin (Noble), 1st place, and Jacob Theisen (Neill), runner-up; and Fifth grade:  Kate Pletcher (RSIS), 1st place, and Max Her (Sonnesyn), runner-up.

Ending bullying in Minnesota schools: Gathering to share stories and discuss solutions


Putting bullying in the bulls-eye with a presentation, film screening, and conversation with educators and experts, featuring speaker and peacemaker, Jamie Nabozny.  Join Jamie and a panel of people with expertise in various aspects of the issue of bullying on Saturday, April 28, 7 p.m. at St. Michael's Church in Roseville.  Parents and students are encouraged to attend.  Click here for more detailed information.

Election Judge Trainee 2012 for Students

Enrolled high school students ages 16-17 are eligible to work as trainee election judges in the county in which they reside. In order to miss school on November 6, or work the primary on August 14, students will need a signed permission slip  by parents/guardians and also the high school principal. See your American Government teacher, guidance counselor, or high school office to get a permission slip or click here.  It's a great opportunity!  Applications are due APRIL 27, 2012 by 4:30pm.
