Feedback Requested for Naming Cooper Auditorium
A proposal has been brought forth to have the Robbinsdale Cooper High School Auditorium named after long-time educator Ert Jones-Hermerding, who spent nearly 30 years as the CHS theatre director. After his death several years ago, several community members suggested naming the auditorium in his honor. CHS sophomore Stephanie Sikkila has resurrected that proposal as part of her Personal Project for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at Cooper. The district formed a committee to consider naming requests, which ultimately are approved by the School Board.
You can weigh in on the proposal by emailing Key_Communicators@rdale.org and give your opinion on naming the Cooper Auditorium after Ert Jones-Hermerding, or you can suggest a name to be considered as well. The district will be taking feedback on this until March 17. |
