Congratulations to the hundreds of students who participated in fall athletics and activities
The Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound-Westonka Robins adapted soccer team became the first team in Minnesota State High School League history to win four adapted soccer state championships in a row, by defeating the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs 3-0 in the title game. Not only was this the fourth consecutive adapted soccer championship for the Robins, it was also their fifth state championship in a row overall, in all three sports, going back to the spring of 2010. The Robins finished the season with a record of 10-0-1.
Armstrong High School juniors Mike Madson and Charlie Wittmer, and Plymouth Middle School seventh grader Chaun Johnson were named to the Wells Fargo All Tournament Team. Congratulations to Coach Onsum and the entire PI adapted soccer team! __________________________________________________________

Emma Ruehle finished 13th in the 500 free. The Falcon relay teams both finished in the top 8 with All American Consideration times. The 200 free relay team of Brooke Evensen, Amanda Elder, Emma Ruehle and Courtney Evensen re-broke the school record and finished 6th. The 400 free relay team of Courtney Evensen, Rachael Peterson, Emma Ruehle and Brooke Evensen broke the school record and finished 5th. Congratulations Ladies on a great meet and season! The Cooper High School Girls Swim Team had a spectacular year although they did not qualify for the state meet. Cooper had 15 girls swimming in the section meet between prelims and finals. All 15 swimmers had at least one personal best time. Many girls had multiple swims that were personal bests. A few beat their own personal best times at finals on Saturday, which is difficult to do.
Cooper finished 5th place out of 8 teams which is up from a 7th place finish last year. "That would not have happened if only the people who received medals scored points," said coach Mike Gerards. "It was an awesome team effort over the two days of the meet, rather than a few swimmers who did well." The girls who placed in the top 16 were Lexanne Klimes, Ciara White, Tori Palme, Ruby Lunzer, Liz van Laarhoven, Sarah Johnson, Maryon Ahler, Anne Kleckner-Thiele, Aliza Beverage, Sarah Hoogenboom, and Krissy van Laarhoven, who was the only 7th grader from any school to swim in the finals meet. Way to swim, Lady Hawks!
