School Supplies Needed
 
The Resource and Welcome Center, located at Winnetka Learning Center, Room 106, 7940 55th Ave. N., in New Hope, supports the educational programming of Robbinsdale Area Schools by providing enrollment services for all students new to the United States, including completion of K-12 registration materials.
          
All students enrolling through the center also receive starter school supplies. 
At this time they are in desperate need of more school supplies. If you are able to make a donation or would like to lead a supply drive, below is a list of items needed: 
 
- backpacks
- markers
- colored pencils
- scissors
- book covers
- dry erase markers
- scientific calculators
- college ruled notebooks
- red pens
- pencil boxes and pouches
- Kleenex
- 3"-4" easy close & open D ring binders
- pink erasers
- folders (various colors)

The Communications Advisory Council (CAC) of Robbinsdale Area Schools is looking for new members.  The council is currently comprised of residents of Robbinsdale Area Schools, staff, and school board member.  Council members must live or work within the Robbinsdale Area Schools boundary and have a passion for communications.  A two-year commitment is preferred. 

 

The Council serves as a forum for discussion, sharing perspectives, providing feedback and exploring new and better ways to meet the communications needs of internal and external audiences. Those interested in serving on the Council may contact Tia Clasen at 763-504-8029 or tia_clasen@rdale.org for more information.

Google Apps for Education is a program used by over 12 million students and educators to provide free email server and the use of innovative collaborative tools and apps for use in the classroom and beyond! Say hello to Robbinsdale Area Schools' six new Assistant Principals.  Armstrong High School welcomes Brenda Damiani, Cooper High School welcomes Frank Herman, Plymouth Middle School welcomes Krista Range, Robbinsdale Middle School welcomes Shaunece Smith and Frances Becquer, and Northport welcomes Brendon Schwirtz.

Open House/Meet the Teacher/Orientation Schedules


Robbinsdale Area Schools' first day of school is Tuesday, September 6.  In preparation, students and families are invited to visit their school, drop off supplies, take a tour, and meet staff and teachers. New this year, Lakeview Elementary School is scheduling individual conferences with teachers.

IB World School logoIB Students Top Recent Years' Performance 

 

The quality of the International Baccalaureate (IB) exam results from the class of 2010-2011 at Robbinsdale Cooper High School continues to excel. 
 

93% of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidates at Cooper received their diploma.  In comparison, the average pass rate worldwide is 80%.   The percentage of students earning points of 4 or higher in 2010-2011 increased nearly two percentage points from last year, and the number of students earning 6s and 7s increased 6.9 percentage points.  Click here to read more.

AHS BBQArmstrong High School Backyard Picnic

On Tuesday, August 23 from 5 - 8 p.m., families from Armstrong, Plymouth, Neill, Noble, RSIS, Sonnesyn and Zachary Lane are invited  to a backyard picnic at Armstrong High School on the back lawn. This is the second year this community-building event has taken place.  Come and enjoy a casual hotdog dinner and a evening with old and new friends.
