April: National Volunteer Month
A big round of applause!
Hartford Habitat is celebrating National Volunteer Month with two significant events in April: the Saints and Crew Leader Luncheon on April 15 and the Volunteer Recognition Event on April 20.
Thorughout the year, Hartford Habitat welcomes anywhere between 5,000-7,000 volunteers who come from all walks of life. At the office, 'behind the scenes', we count with volunteers who lead the organization at the board level, chairing or serving in committees, helping with the events and office duties to help us move forward. Regardless of how different each individual is, one thing remains the same: the unwavering support of Habitat's mission to end poverty housing in our area.
We are deeply touched by this support and are very grateful to count on each volunteer's donation of time and talent as we keep "building more than a house."
Thank you, volunteers! You are all true shining stars!

Dedication Ceremony
The Hippolyte Family Begin Their Journey
Congratulations to Cameel and Joseph Hippolyte on the dedication of their house on Pliny Street in Hartford. Volunteers, board members, sponsor representatives, staff and the media joined them in celebration of the completion of their house. Joseph, who never thought would own his own place, complimented and thanked everyone who helped the family become a homeowner.
Many thanks to Carrier Corporation for sponsoring the build!
