Greetings!
This is the last Habitat Happenings edition of 2010 and we can't help but to reminisce on how much we've done this year, together!
* We welcomed 7 new Hartford Habitat families to the Guilford St neighborhood in Hartford;
* Held a great Build-a-Thon in May on Sexton St in New Britain;
* Unveiled our new website - and received great reviews - while seeing an increase in online donations and our social media activities on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube;
* Delivered an amazing golf tournament, raising over $60,000 to help us build more houses;
* Completed the three houses on Sexton St and continue building on Wilcox St in New Britain;
* Started the construction on Mansfield, Pliny and West Clay St in Hartford;
* Attended several community events and collaborated with several other community organizations to increase awareness about poverty housing;
* Had our own Ana represent us at the 2010 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Washington DC in October;
* Hosted several corporate, collegiate and community groups volunteer with us at our sites;
* Held a small, yet sweet, Building on Faith Week on Mansfield St in Hartford, which reminded us about the great work we do!
We are positive this is only a fraction of the many things we accomplished together in 2010. Again, from all of us at Hartford Habitat, Thank You for being our partner and we hope to see you again in 2011!

Sexton Street Dedication

| Maribel Silvestre and her family will be enjoying the holidays in their house on Sexton Street in New Britain. On Friday, December 17, volunteers, staff, board members and supporters from the community welcomed Maribel and her family to the neighborhood with a moving dedication ceremony.

Thrivent Builds Homes (again) with
Hartford Habitat |  | Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has partnered for the third time with Hartford Habitat to build our third house, together! The construction of the house will be done in partnership with Nick and Melitza Lebron and their three children.
Hartford Area Lutheran churches will provide a portion of the labor by sending their construction volunteers and will help raise the funds needed to complete the house.
Join us at the groundbreaking on January 8.
