From raising the roofs on Guilford Street to mailing our Fall appeal with the help of our awesome volunteer Bulk Team, Hartford Habitat has had a very busy November!
Did you know that with your help, we partnered with 8 new families who are now Hartford Habitat homeowners? We have many reasons to celebrate: 172 homes built since 1989! 172 reasons and more!
As you read earlier, our Fall appeal was mailed a few weeks ago. If you have not responded, you can still help a family escape poverty housing by making a safe and easy online donation today. Simply click on the button and follow the instructions.

MUSLIM COALITION of CONNECTICUT NEWS
Hartford Habitat Recognized
Hartford Habitat was presented with a $2,000 donation at the Annual Muslim Coalition of Connecticut Banquet held on October 31.
Volunteers from the Muslim Coalition who have participated in Hartford Habitat's House of Abraham were recognized at the event.
Dr. Reza Mansoor, from the Muslim Coalition and one of the leaders of the House of Abraman builds, presented Krista Colletta, our Director of Volunteers and Community Relations with the donation that evening. We are honored to be the receipients of gifts of love and talent such as this one! |
 COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS Hartford Habitat family receives a "recycled car"
Recycled Rides, the national program organized by the National Auto Body Council takes in vehicles that are repaired, recycled and then donated to families in need. More info & news clip from Fox 61.

ANOTHER REASON TO GIVE THANKS An Inspiring Gesture by:

Thanks Hunt Liebert Jacobson, P.C. and their employees who collected and donated enough items for a total of 19 Hartford Habitat families to make Thanksgiving dinner special.
Margaret Breen who has been organizing the collection for years now is a former Hartford Habitat board member and Family Services volunteers.

RAISE THE ROOF Guilford gets closed in!

The roofs were installed on the homes of both 45 and 49 Guilford Street in Hartford. Construction started in June of 2009 and they are expected to be done in June of 2010. View the Slideshow |

- 10-12x zoom digital camera
- Mini-blinds for our conference/board room
- Large-capacity (30-cup) coffee urns
- Dolly or handtruck (to move furniture)

SAVE THE DATE FOR "MUSIC FOR A CHANGE" 
A Benefit Concert
Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity will be the recipient of proceeds made from Music for a Change, a benefit concert series at the University of Hartford.
The concert will take place on May 7, featuring Lucy Kaplansky in the Wilde Auditorium at UHart.
