April 2011
An almost-one-year-anniversary
Dear Friend
It's hard to believe that it is almost one year since I had the good fortune to become the Executive Director of At Home on the Sound.
While I knew I would be looking forward to the times I would be interacting with members and volunteers, I did not realize how much joy each day would bring.
From my very first day, the community has been welcoming and supportive, particularly the board, the volunteers and the members. It has been wonderful to work with the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Senior Center, United Hebrew and the local clergy, who have been supportive of our efforts and ready to help us reach those who would benefit from the programs and services of At Home on the Sound.
If you've not yet met me, please give me a call and we'll find a time to chat. I look forward to working with you in the months ahead as we continue to serve the residents in the Larchmont-Mamaroneck area who want to remain in the community they love.
Elaine Weingarten Executive Director
P.S. Our members and volunteers will be celebrating the first anniversary on June 7th - please mark your calendar!

Music Music, Music on Wednesday, April 20
| |
On Wednesday, April 20, At Home on the Sound will host a special program with The High Point Players, a woodwind quintet that has been playing and concertizing together for four years.
Rebecca Sayles, Eldad Coppens, John Stine, Mary Olsson and Michael Kates share a love of music, years of musical schooling, and extensive orchestral and chamber music training. Their background enable them to bring a variety of interesting and diversified musical interpretations to their repertoire, which ranges from classical to popular music.
This program is so special, we're opening it to the community -- so bring your friends to enjoy an afternoon of wonderful music.
Remember, all Wednesday programs begin with refreshments at 3:30 p.m., program from 4-5:00 p.m. Programs are held in the Rectory Meeting Room of Sts. John and Paul Church. Please park in the lower parking lot, accessible from Weave Street (enter through the stone pillars marked 280) or from Cooper Lane. |
