Hope is wishing things will turn out for best and there will be a positive outcome. Many poor children in Vietnam don't have that sense of hope.
Maybe you are drawn to the child whose family works so hard yet still can't provide the meager funds required to attend school.
You can provide them hope.
Maybe you are drawn to the child who desperately needs heart surgery to survive but whose family is too poor to afford the expense. So they just wait, and wait, and wait.
You can provide them hope.
Maybe you are drawn to the child who may go blind if they don't receive sight-saving eye surgery.
You can provide them hope.
Will you reach deep into your heart and see if you can find a way to provide a seed of hope for a child?

Matching Gift Opportunity
for Eye Surgeries!
We have a very special donor family, who wishes to remain anonymous, that will match every donation made to support an eye surgery. Funds will be matched up to $3,000. Each surgery costs $150 and we are hoping to support at least 30 surgeries this year. Your donation of any amount can have a significant impact and make a huge difference to a child.
Please don't wait to donate - we can only take advantage of this matching gift opportunity until June 15th.
Our thanks to this very generous donor family!

Paul Pinkerton was honored on April 2nd at the 10th Anniversary of the Manheim Central Hall of Fame.
The Hall of fame honors great individuals who have brought distinction to their school and community.
Way to go Paul!

With your generosity Paul's Kids hopes to provide the necessary funds for at least 30 children to have life-saving heart surgery in 2011. Each surgery costs $1,000. Please consider making a donation of any amount in memory or honor of a loved one or friend. We will send a letter sharing your thoughtful gift with them.

School Sponsorship
2011-1012
The end of the school year is almost upon us and we are already planning for the children in the Kieng Phuoc schools for the 2011-2012 school year. You can give the gift of education to a child as well as support a project for the entire school with just a $50 donation for the year.
This is a great opportunity to get children involved! We have some families whose children fund raise in their local communities or ask for donations to Paul's Kids in lieu of birthday gifts. They find it very rewarding and enjoy corresponding with the children they sponsor in Vietnam.
Sponsorship donations for the 2011-2012 school year can be made until June 15th (to allow for enough time for school officials to notify families). Additional donations to support school-wide projects are gladly accepted any time of the year.

Homeland Tours
We need your feedback!
Some families have expressed interest in traveling back to Vietnam with Paul to experience the Vietnamese culture with their children, enjoy some sight-seeing, and also volunteer for Paul's Kids.
We would like to start planning soon for a homeland tour in 2012. If you or someone you know might be interested please send an e-mail to heather@paulskids.org by August 31, 2011.

Tet Celebration - Great Fun!
On February 19th Paul's Kids supporters gathered at the Golden Phoenix restaurant in Philadelphia, PA to celebrate the Vietnamese New Year. Families enjoyed delicious authentic food and it was wonderful to see the smiling faces of the children who look forward to seeing friends each year. Many thanks to all those who donated items for the silent auction and everyone's help to make this annual event a great success.
We hope to see everyone next year for Tet!
